Course Description:
 Choreography and Composition 5,6 is the third year course for the dance student. It connects their knowledge of dance composition with their ability to investigate and solve dance challenges in a sophisticated manner and requires research of choreography and essential components in dance making. They develop an expanded knowledge of improvisation technique and vocabulary. Students critique and analyze dance repertoire. Students choreograph solo and group dances utilizing a professional level of rehearsal etiquette/protocols, technical skill and intent. Students explore personal artistry and voice through journals, improvisation and movement studies. Students participate in a final performance showcase, performing and presenting original work. Assessment is live and evaluated by the teacher of record with a rubric.
