Course Description:
 Ballet Training and Conditioning is the foundational course of the dance student. Students develop strength and flexibility focusing on the preparatory and traditional training practices of the Vaganova Ballet Academy, Progressing Ballet Technique, and other conditioning practices. It connects their physical ability with their performance skills and their ability to investigate and solve personal, physical dance challenges. They develop an expanded knowledge of training techniques and vocabulary. Students conduct research and analyze career and education pathways. Students perform ballet repertoire integrating a professional level of rehearsal etiquette, protocols, technical skill and leadership. Students collaborate to conduct and present research. Students participate in a final performance showcase and reflect on best practices throughout the semester.
