Engineering and Architecture Industry Sector

Career Pathways offered by San Diego Unified:

The Engineering and Architecture sector is designed to provide students with a foundation in engineering, design, and architecture. Students engage in an instructional program, integrating academic and technical skills in three industry career pathways. These pathways emphasize real-world, occupationally relevant experiences that prepare students for continued training and advanced educational opportunities through the following components: laboratories, hands-on contextual learning, project- and work-based instruction; internships, community classrooms, and cooperative career technical education; work experience education; and leadership and interpersonal skills development. Many courses in these pathways follow the nationally recognized Project Lead the Way* curriculum.
