Course Description:
 Students are encouraged to work in one or more areas of woodworking including furniture construction, building construction, wood finishing, and machine operation. Emphasis is placed on skill development through the project-problem approach. Instruction in the use and maintenance of woodworking machines and equipment is provided. Cooperative working relationships are emphasized. Special attention also is given to the development of safety habits, budgeting, and the economical use of time and materials. Career exploration is an integral part of the instruction.
