Course Description:
 This course is designed to acquaint students with both the history and theory of law enforcement, as well as arm them with practical knowledge about law enforcement occupations. Students in this course develop an understanding of the institutions and agencies within the administration of justice, as well as criminal, traffic, and juvenile law, judicial proceedings, substance abuse, and emergency preparedness. The importance of effective communications and interpersonal skills is also emphasized.

Paid and unpaid internships are part of the course curriculum.
