Course Description:
 Fire Protection Technology 3,4 is an intermediate-level course for the Protection Services pathway of the Public Services industry sector. Students in this course are introduced to fire-service nomenclature, basic fire chemistry and physics, and fire strategy and tactics. The course’s practical emphasis is on manipulative training, fire apparatus familiarization, company operations, and incident command systems. Students continue to explore career opportunities in fire protection and related fields as part of the curriculum of this course.
