| Course Description: | |
Internet Engineering 1,2 prepares students for postsecondary success in the information and communication technology (ICT) field. The course engages students with the history of network communications, the protocols that make the Internet possible, how networks provide access to services, and college and career preparation in the ICT field. This course integrates the theory and application of network communications and exposes students to media that invite them to consider how internet engineers think, design, and solve problems. Students have several opportunities to produce college-level writing and to collaborate, research, and develop study skills. Students who complete this course are eligible to obtain Cisco Certified Entry Network Technician (CCENT) and/or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification. | |
