Course Description:
 These courses are designed to prepare students to successfully navigate all aspects of a career as a professional artist including: building a professional portfolio; preparing, documenting, and exhibiting work in the community; working alongside professionals; and learning industry standard skills and techniques needed for a career in the arts. Students will be introduced to emerging technologies, ideas and trends while integrating proven design principals in their work. Students will acquire skills needed for internships and post-secondary opportunities in the arts while building additional skill sets in digital applications and professional art business management. Students will receive instruction in computer design methods and apply knowledge from the graphics and printing industry to personal branding and career-oriented projects.
