| This is the second year of a sequential series of dance courses designed for students wishing to enhance their skills in modern dance using the state’s physical education content standards. The focus of the second year moves from individual and dual, to group and team activities. Students learn offensive and defensive skills by engaging in combative and team sports, and are able to understand and apply the principles of biomechanics—leverage, force, inertia, rotary motion, and opposition—to improve their performance in those areas. |
