Course Description:
 This is an introductory dance course for students wishing to study modern dance using the state’s physical education content standards. Students in this course will meet all required P.E. standards for High School Course 1, including water safety and aquatics skills. The focus of the course is on individual and dual activities, with an emphasis on modern dance movements and techniques. Activities to strengthen balance and coordination include parallel and turned-out center barre work; suspend and release, and fall and recovery. Students will learn how to analyze and evaluate feedback from others to improve their performance levels.
