Course Description:
 Students will explore the creation and communication of ideas through media artworks. They will develop original ideas using brainstorming and design thinking, while safely practicing media production techniques. Using various media art forms, students will create media artworks that reflect their local community and cultural traditions. They will learn to arrange and refine content from different academic and arts disciplines to create purposeful media arts productions. Through the examination of different spaces and places media artworks are presented, students will understand how presentation affects audience experience. They will analyze the meaning of media artworks and evaluate their work using set criteria. Students will also explore the role of art in different contexts and learn to responsibly interact with media tools, technologies, and environments. By the end of fourth grade, students will possess the skills to create and share media artworks with intent, effectively communicating their ideas to an audience.
