Course Description: | |
Students will develop their skills in creating and presenting media artworks using a variety of tools and techniques. They will explore the use of images, sounds, and text to craft engaging stories and sequences. Through the manipulation of media technologies, such as cameras and editing software, students will capture and edit photographs and videos, paying attention to design elements, lighting, and angles. They will experiment with tension, mood, and storytelling techniques to convey meaning and create immersive experiences. Students will also examine the responsible and purposeful use of media, considering intent in various social, historical, and cultural contexts. Activities such as storyboarding, creating title sequences, adding captions, and recording audio will develop storytelling skills and prompt reflection on artistic choices. Students will have opportunities to share their media artworks with classmates and the school community, showcasing their creativity and engaging in meaningful discussions. Throughout the course, students will refine their skills, receive feedback, and revise their artwork to continuously improve their craft. | |
