Course Description: |
| Mariachi 5, 6 allows intermediate Mariachi musicians to
further develop their technique, tonal control, and
knowledge of music theory. Students will begin to
independently monitor and modify their own pitch,
diction, and interpretation, and evaluate performances
using more sophisticated analysis and stylistically
diverse repertoire. More complex musical concepts,
notation, and vocabulary will be studied, as well as an
expanded history of Mariachi music. Students will create
longer and more intricate compositions, improvisations,
and arrangements of music, and will participate in
selecting, performing, and evaluating music. |
