Course Description:
 AVID 9 ELD is a year-long course designed explicitly for the Long-Term English Learner (LTEL). This course includes the study and development of skills in the areas of foundational literacy, academics, life, and preparation for college. The purpose of this course is to provide the LTEL with the academic language and abilities necessary to be successful in all academic subjects, to develop study skills and to be successful in mainstream English classes.
