Advanced Musical Theatre 8th (5525)    - PILOT COURSE -

 Pilot course for the School of Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA). Other schools may not offer this course without prior approval from the Interdivisional Curriculum Committee.

 Prerequisites:
 Beginning Musical Theatre 6th-7th.
 Course duration:
 Two semesters.
Course Description:
 This course is a sequel to Beginning Musical Theatre 6-7 and transitions students from ensemble work to songs with groups of 8, 6, Quartets, Trios, Duets and eventually Solos to hone their craft.

Students will work collaboratively to create dance steps as well as identify and apply music notations; tempo, key signature and time signatures. They will also analyze shows focusing on historical context, composers and fun facts as they continue into the high school pathway and prepare for secondary school and career readiness.
