In Orchestra 9,10, students will continue to develop their technique and musicianship on their instruments. They will analyze texture, modulations, cadences, and form, and will arrange and harmonize melodies using standard notation. In a unit on music careers, students will select and research a music career that interests them. New connections will be made between each student and the ensemble through basic conducting, improvisation in the ensemble setting, music selection, rehearsal, performance, and performance critique.
