| Course Description: |
| | Jazz Combo 3,4 teaches the musical concepts and technique of performing in a jazz combo setting (5-12 musicians) at an early intermediate level. In this auditioned course, students will increase their knowledge of music notation and musical vocabulary, and will continue to refine their pitch accuracy, tone, and performance skills. Students will continue to compose, improvise, select music, perform, and evaluate. Additional topics of study include transcribing music, exploring music careers, and classifying (comparing/contrasting) music. |
