Course Description:
 GameCraft: Introduction to Media Arts through Gaming is an introductory course in digital media arts for middle school students. Using interactive game design, students learn multimedia creation, transmedia storytelling, interdisciplinary integration, design thinking, and digital and media literacies in line with California Arts Standards for Media Arts. By exploring sound, image, motion, text, space, and interactivity through the craft of games, students develop the skills and experience necessary to thrive in the 21st-century classroom and future workforce that rely on emerging technologies. Ultimately, GameCraft fosters a culture of inventiveness and experimentation in students’ approach to media arts.
