| Course Description: | |
| In this course, students learn how to apply physics concepts and problem solving strategies to solve real-world problems. In each unit, students first learn the foundations of how to effectively problem-solve through strategies and heuristics such as root-cause analysis, assumption reduction, research, and solution development. Students then employ these strategies to design, build and test their solutions in a series of hands-on projects. Next, students are introduced to fundamental concepts in Physics such as forces, energy, waves. Students apply these concepts to better understand the Physics of the hands-on projects and leverage these knowledge to evaluate and improve their solutions. Students will reflect and communicate lessons learned to improve and share their results. | |
