Course Description: | |
Fire Protection Technology 5,6 is an advanced course for the Protection Services pathway of the Public Services industry sector, and completes the Fire Protection Technology Program at the approved site. Students learn about Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) requirements, and receive instruction in National Incident Command System certification, and Teen Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) certification. Students enrolled in field internships (8259, 8260) will perform community outreach on fire-prevention and fire-safety, and meet with instructors at least once a week to present a summary of their progress. | |
