Course Description:
 Color Guard Honors provides students with an advanced, interdisciplinary study of dance, performance design, and musical interpretation. Students will develop advanced movement literacy, choreographic design skills, and performance techniques through the study and application of dance and color guard methods. Students will apply kinesthetic awareness, body mechanics, and ensemble coordination to produce high-level performance works that integrate dance styles such as ballet, modern, jazz, hip-hop, and cultural dance traditions with equipment-based performance (flag, rifle, sabre).
