Course Description:
 In Rock Band 6th-8th Beginning, students will receive an introduction to playing popular music genres such as rock and pop. They will develop fundamental instrumental and/or vocal techniques, music reading proficiency, and stage performance skills necessary to read and perform modern music in a stylistically appropriate manner.

Students will develop creativity, musicianship, and an appreciation for a variety of popular music styles. Activities and assignments include playing/performance, listening, discussing, analyzing, improvising, and songwriting. Instrumentation for this ensemble includes, but is not limited to, guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, ukulele and vocals (at the discretion of the instructor).
