Course Description:
 This course is a paired internship course that is taught concurrently or after the biotechnology 1,2 (honors) course. The course curriculum allows students to participate in an onsite biomanufacturing internship that is a practical application of their acquired biotechnology skills to gain further understanding of the biotechnology industry and practical application and refinement of their laboratory and industry skills. All students completing biotechnology 1,2 (honors) are eligible to take this course, addressing severe limitations to accessibility to offsite biomanufacturing and biotechnology laboratory internships due to various factors including internship availability, student course load and schedule, transportation access, and industry age restrictions.
