| | This course provides an introduction to Chicano/a
Studies through the exploration of history, culture,
identity, and social movements. Students will examine
the experiences and contributions of Chicano/a
communities in the United States while developing their
Spanish language skills. Through engaging texts,
discussions, and multimedia resources, learners will
build vocabulary and confidence in interpreting and
communicating about social and historical topics. The
course also aligns with California 7th grade
History-Social Science standards, connecting past
events to present-day issues. By the end of the course,
students will have a deeper understanding of cultural
identity, community, and civic engagement. |
