Course Description:
	Digital Communications III Honors is an advanced honors-level course in the Production and Managerial Arts pathway that emphasizes student leadership, advanced storytelling, multimedia journalism, and multiplatform media production through rigorous, industry-aligned learning experiences. Students operate as a collaborative production team responsible for planning, producing, revising, and distributing content for school-based broadcast and digital media platforms while engaging in higher levels of creative problem-solving, project management, critical analysis, and independent production work. Instruction includes advanced visual storytelling, editorial leadership, source verification, audience engagement, live broadcast production, social media content creation, podcasting, cinematography, sound design, editing, and professional media workflows. Students actively engage in scripting, interviewing, visual planning, filming, editing, graphics creation, critique, revision, and public presentation while developing written, verbal, visual, and nonverbal communication skills through hands-on media production. Honors-level expectations include increased emphasis on leadership, portfolio development, independent inquiry, advanced technical proficiency, collaborative project management, and analysis of professional media and communication practices.
