Course Description:
 This foundational course introduces middle school students to the integrated performing art of Musical Theatre. Students develop discipline-specific standards-based skills, technique, and vocabulary through instruction in theatre, music, and dance, first separately then combined, with emphasis on ensemble collaboration. Students analyze character, setting, and plot and reflect those characteristics in their performances. They evaluate the effectiveness of artistic choices, self-assess their own choices, and provide feedback on the choices of others.
