| Course Description: |
| | This middle-school theatre course places a robust emphasis on English Language Development (ELD) within a comprehensive, standards-based curriculum. Teachers will use the tailored curriculum based on the proficiency level of students in their class. Differentiated curriculum will be provided for students at the Emerging/Expanding and Expanding/Bridging proficiency levels. The course refines fundamental performance skills and immerses students in theatre elements through activities such as creating, performing, responding, and connecting to real-world contexts. Simultaneously, it cultivates the four language domains—listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in English, with a heightened focus on receptive and expressive language. |
