Course Description: | |
This advanced level course provides students the opportunity to build upon prior learning and continue to apply the elements of art, design principles and others core concepts of graphic design in a project-based format that combines technical skills, critical thinking, and collaboration. The course teaches students how to organize ideas, create meaning in the original work, and work ideas into new and useful creations. Instruction is taught in the following areas: elements of art and principles of design, mechanical and computer design methods, finishing of graphic products, historical and cultural development of graphics and the printing industry. This course provides the skills needed for advanced Adobe certification, particularly in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. | |
