Course Description: |
| Band 11,12 is the sixth course in the concert band
course sequence, an extension of the sequence for
schools on a 4x4 schedule (in which students complete
a year-long course in one semester). In Band 11,12,
students will continue to develop their technique and
musicianship on their instruments. They will increase
their understanding of music theory and vocabulary
through excerpt analysis, conducting in new, irregular, or
mixed meters, and composition using chord analysis.
Students will research interdisciplinary or
multidisciplinary music careers and explore
improvisation in cultural music. |
