Prerequisites:
	Interest in learning to play the guitar
Course duration:
	One semester each; course 5091 may be taught as a 12-week portion (5091Z) of an 18-week (one-semester) wheel course.

Course Description:
	This course is designed to provide opportunities for students to learn the basics of guitar playing. Students will learn fundamentals of music reading and notation and perform guitar music in several styles and from a variety of historical periods and cultures. No previous guitar experience is required.
