Course Description: | |
This course focuses on art and design in three dimensions, with an emphasis on form and space. Through a blend of traditional and contemporary techniques, students will learn the fundamentals of sculptural forms while developing a mastery of spatial concepts. They will experiment with a variety of materials, understanding the unique qualities and possibilities of what each material offers. Students will explore the principles of composition in three-dimensional space and examine the history of sculpture, studying influential sculptors and movements, and drawing inspiration from both classical and contemporary sources. Students will not only develop their technical skills in sculpture and 3D design but also honed their ability to convey their own ideas and emotions through spatial manipulation. | |
