Course Description:
 This foundational high school course introduces students with diverse abilities and artistic experience to build the fundamental skills necessary for further exploration in specialized art disciplines in 2D or 3D Art. Through a hands-on exploration of various artistic mediums, students will engage in the creative process, from various drawing techniques, painting exploration, sculpting, and other artistic forms. They will study influential artists, movements, and cultural contexts that have shaped the artistic landscape. Students will develop a depth of understanding for the elements of art and principles of design to foster creativity, critical thinking, and a lifelong appreciation for artistic expression. They will engage in constructive discussions and critiques of artworks, honing the ability to articulate and receive feedback in a supportive environment.
