Course Description:
 African American History is the study of the significant participation and contributions of African Americans in shaping the course of the history of the United States. This class will cover the period of time before the beginning of European slavery of West Africans, through the modern day civil rights movement. The class will focus on significant social, political and cultural developments told through the lens of the African American experience.
