 This is a pilot course for Grant K-8, and Challenger, Clark, Mann, Muirlands, and Wilson Middle Schools. Other schools may not offer this course without prior approval from the Interdivisional Curriculum Committee.

Course Description:
 This middle-school theatre course places a robust emphasis on English Language Development (ELD) within a comprehensive, standards-based curriculum. Tailored for students at the Emerging and Expanding proficiency levels, the course refines fundamental performance skills and immerses students in theatre elements through activities such as creating, performing, responding, and connecting to real-world contexts. Simultaneously, it cultivates the four language domains—listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in English, with a heightened focus on receptive and expressive language.
