Course Description: | |
In this immersive 6th-grade course, students embark on a comprehensive exploration of ancient civilizations while integrating the arts and ethnic studies. The course will explore the rich histories of Mesopotamia, Egypt, Kush, the ancient Israelites (Hebrews), Greece, India, China, and Rome about, with, and through the creative expressions of Dance, Media Arts, Visual Arts, Theatre, Creative Writing, and Music. By examining history through various modes of expression, students engage with primary and secondary sources, analyzing (writtten, performing), visual and auditory materials. | |
