Students in grades 9-12 may take online courses for credit recovery (i.e., to make up for a previous D or F grade). Online credit recovery courses are currently offered through iHigh Virtual Academy, using curriculum provided by the Edgenuity company. Students are scheduled into online credit recovery courses at iHigh by their counselors. Enrollment requires a signed parent permission form and Acceptable Use Agreement.

All Edgenuity course titles begin with "EDG". The credit recovery versions of Edgenuity courses are designated with CR in the title and an R after the course number. The credit recovery versions allow for pre-testing and extended time lines. All online credit recovery courses meet the University of California's subject-area requirements for college admission (the UC a–g requirements).

Note: Credit recovery courses do not meet NCAA course eligibility requirements. Student athletes who wish to make up a D or F grade should not take credit recovery courses; they should enroll in the full, first-time versions instead.
