History–Social Studies Grade 3

Course Description:
 Continuity and Change

Students study continuity and change both locally and at the national level. Students examine the history of their local community and the influences geography, people, and cultures have on economic decisions. It is important that students understand why some things change and others remain the same over time. Studies support learning about local and national heroes who make a difference in the world. Students explore local and national holidays and historical figures who have contributed to today’s economic world.
