Course Description:
 Bookorama is taught in addition to, not instead of, a student’s regular English class.

This is an elective course designed for proficient readers who have a passion for literature. Students in this course read both fiction and nonfiction works to broaden their reading interests and engage in academic discourse. In addition to enhancing students’ reading comprehension, the course increases their critical analysis skills as they question, interpret, and evaluate the ideas of others in the class. Special attention is paid to the craft of writing, especially the different techniques and language conventions writers use to express their ideas.
