Course Description:
 Developmental Psychology of Children 3,4 Honors (HP) allows students to gain an awareness of the developing child in a societal context which focuses on the interrelationships of family, school, and community. It emphasizes historical and social cultural factors. The process of socialization and identity development is highlighted. Individual and social resources for family health and welfare and improving child development techniques are explored. Emphasis is placed on familiarizing students with techniques used in parent-teacher conferences and to perceive parents as partners in their child’s educational experience. Students will explore various academic endeavors that incorporate the California State Standards for Career Technical Education.
