East Village High School (formerly San Diego Early/Middle College) is a small school located on the campus of San Diego City College in downtown San Diego. The school’s partnership with the college gives students the opportunity to earn a high school diploma and one year of college credit in four years, at no additional cost to the student. Students in grades 9 and 10 take regular district courses taught by San Diego Unified teachers and are given extensive support to prepare them for college-level courses. Students in grades 11 and 12 take a combination of high school and City College courses. The City College courses offered at East Village High School are identified by titles that begin with ECHS.
