Course Description:
 Library Research and Information Studies (LRIS) is designed to prepare students to find, retrieve, analyze, and use information in the twenty-first century. In this course students learn about the organization and operation of a school library. They conduct simple and more complex research projects based on focused questions; gather relevant information from multiple authoritative print and electronic sources; assess the credibility of those sources; use advanced search skills effectively; assess the strengths and limitations of each source in terms of the specific project; and integrated the information effectively to produce or publish their results.
