Course Description:
 Psychology HL1 and HL2 IB together comprise a two-year course of study that prepares students to take the IB Higher Level (HL) exam in psychology and satisfies the Group 3 (Individuals and Societies) requirement for the International Baccalaureate diploma. The first-year course (HL1) includes the study of four psychological perspectives (biological, cognitive, learning, and humanistic), an in-depth examination of two selected fields of psychology (e.g., comparative psychology, social psychology), as well as research methodology, including quantitative and qualitative research methods. In the second year (HL2), students conduct and complete an experimental study that shows they understand the both the concept and use of triangulation in qualitative research.
