Course Description: |
| This course continues instruction begun in American Sign Language 3-4 and provides a third year of American Sign Language study. Students taking this course will be exposed to deaf culture, general interpreting techniques, reverse interpreting, and community resources for the deaf. Students meet and communicate with deaf individuals, and work on finger spelling speed and sign fluency. Students who successfully pass this course will possess the conversational skills necessary to enter an interpreter-training program. |
