Course Description: | |
This course provides an overview of the U.S. criminal justice system and introduces students to career opportunities in the field of law. Topics include the history of law enforcement, philosophic background of the criminal courts, constitutional problems as they relate to the law, and the use of technology in criminal justice. Students learn the job requirements for law-enforcement agents, prosecuting attorneys, and public defenders and have the opportunity to participate in field trips and job shadows in the judicial system. | |
