Course Description:
 Music and Digital Media Creation 1 is the beginning course of the middle school student’s music and digital media education. This foundational year of instruction begins with the individual student creating, manipulating, and developing both sound and video in digital formats. Through project based learning, students will learn, apply, and demonstrate an understanding of the proficient level of the California Arts Standards: Music Composition and Theory, Music Technology, as well as the Arts, Media, and Entertainment industry Sector: Media and Design Arts Career Pathway. Students will organize and develop artistic ideas from a variety of sources through development, reflection and analysis of the technical and expressive elements, skills, and knowledge of music and digital media.
